I forgot to blog about this weeks ago and just remembered today. When we first arrived here they had commercials like the one in the videos below on the main tv channels. Randall and I couldn't believe it, I saw commercials like those on the Disney shows Alexis (the girl I babysat this summer) watched but nothing that was geared towards adults. The commercials here however, are geared towards adults and situations that they would encounter. They had several different scenarios like: not blocking the grocery store aisle, not slamming the tram door into others, letting an old lady have your seat on the bus, not running people over with your rolling bag, etc. They have stopped showing them for some reason, maybe because they didn't work. People still block the grocery store aisle. I fortunately have not seen anyone run people over with their rolling bag but people will plow you over in the streets without a rolling bag. I did see a few people give up their bus seat for older people so that one did work.
One big difference that we are dealing with over here is the amount of darkness. The sun does not rise until after 9am and sets around 3pm! During the day it is usually cloudy so we haven't seen the sun in a few weeks. Hopefully in April or May we will see some sunshine for more than 20 minutes to 2 hours at a time.
The sound is not very loud as we took this with a regular digital camera not a video camera.
